And maybe your wondering how exactly give my gifts to them, so I'll take a moment to briefly explain. Since I can't send them the presents, I made up a way that I can give them presents and save them until they're home in the arms of their forever families. Typically mothers collect their babies things as they grow and store them in a keepsake box as little treasures. Since neither Vera or Peggy future adoptive mother opportunity to do that, I am going to make a keepsake box for each girl to give them once they are safely home. :)
I know that some people (especially "normal" people my age) think that it's silly, but I don't think that at all. These kids have a piece of my heart. And as a Christian we are called to help the fatherless and the broken. All I want to do is answer the call and bless those less fortunate than me. :)
With that being said, I want to show you Vera and Peggy's presents!
Aren't they the cutest things you've ever seen!? Well, except for Vera and Peggy! ;)
Now...take a guess at which one gets which...
Sweet baby girl, Vera get little soft pink lamb. This reminds me SO much of her! I know instantly that I was going to have to get her this little lamb or else I would regret not getting it. I can see her holding it in the palm of her tiny little hand now. (They're mega mini beanies)
And of course bitty baby, Peggy gets the little chick! Both girls have always reminded me of birdies and kitties so this chubby chick just had to be chubby baby Peggy's.
I want so badly to see her hold this little child in her fragile little arms.
"My' girls have never had a gift of their own before, and now they do.
One day they'll see that I loved so much when they thought no one did.
I love you baby girls, more than you could ever understand and I will hold these gifts for you until the day you are safely home in the arms of your forever family. I will never give up on you. I will pray daily for your safety, your future family and your comfort. I pray that God wraps a blanket of peace and comfort around you every single day until you can feel physical love finally.
I think this is a wonderful idea! I fell head-over-heels for Vera a few days ago when I saw her on RR. I am so glad that she has someone so loving and caring for her Warrior. <3
ReplyDeleteI hope both of these beautiful little girls find their forever families ASAP!
